A man sets sail
Determined to fight
Against the feeling that ales
The sea and treacherous
He knows not what awaits
His heart beats quickly
As he sails the sea of fate
Though it doesn't stop him
He still fights against the wind
His passion, his desire
Burns in him
Days have past
And of it only lonely nights
It seems so hopeless
A pointless fight
He drinks from the bottle
To numb the pain
A poison so sweet
Yet such a shame
The sun slowly rises
From the east above
So is another day in the journey
The journey for love

I usually like to listen to music while I write my poetry. I've gotten really into Apocalyptica. This is pretty much what I came up with. Everyone that seeks it goes through something a little bit like this. This portrays my experience with it. Though others may relate to it. Though the journey isn't over, as long as there is breath in you, there is hope. Love is precious, the purest thing you could ever hope for in this world. So much happens in our lives we tend to drag it out, the darker side of love, heart ache. To love we must understand sorrow. Overcoming it. To love once again. To finally find a place where we belong. Enjoy.
